PYD Building hosts exhibitions from both local and internationally renowned artists showcasing new works exclusive to pyd.

The pyd building has featured sculpture exhibitions with artists such as Chen, David Trubridge, Konstantin Dimopoulos, Venske & Spaenle and up and coming car sculpture artist James Corbett, who’s talent for creating realist sculpture using just car parts is unprecedented.

You will find the pyd atrium exhibition space is ever changing with each exhibition available to view for six weeks to ensure we constantly bring you new and exciting works.

Come and view our current exhibition Venske & Spaenle which is on show until the 26th March 2009. This exhibition has been produced together with Conny Dietzschold Gallery of Danks St.

Pyd provides an opportunity for local and international artists to exhibit their work to a varied audience exhibiting within the pyd building featuring 12 leading design and interiors showrooms.  PYD is a contemporary space designed over three levels, featuring a grand staircase, soaring ceilings, natural light and suspension system.

Pyd building is currently preparing itself for Saturday in Design. Pyd will have 6 showrooms participating in this years Saturday in Design with an additional 6 participants in our Warehouse, venue space, making pyd a must see design location. .

James works only with car parts; grille slats, window surrounds, headlamp rims and the like, because it’s easy to work with and can be MIG welded with minimal discolouration or distortion. Whether the purpose of the sculpture is for a private collection, public art, or simply a “must have”, James Corbett’s sculptures are undoubtedly some of the finest examples of assemblage that you would be likely to encounter anywhere in the world.
