This prestigious firm of glass artists was established on the island of Murano in Venice in 1859. Since then it has played a leading role in developing Venetian glass worldwide and in creating pieces that push the creative boundaries, while continuing the strong traditions of this art form.
Salviati, famous for its constant research and innovation is characterised by its use of visual contrasts. Initially you will notice the playful and direct use of colour, then the use of contrasting materials and textures; opaque and translucent, gloss and matt.
Salviati enlists international renowned artists and designers to push the company creatively in different directions. Names such as Tom Dixon, Tord Boontjie, Simon Moore and Nigel Coates are responsible for confronting the tradition of Venetian mouth blowing glass, re-newing it and re-interpreting it. New ventures with young designers bring fresh blood and ideas to the range including works by Luca Nichetto.
Available exclusively through Exhibit, this range of Salviati glassware is highly collectable. They are pieces to invest in and to treasure.
