Occhio is an award winning range and has a unique position in the lighting market as a comprehensive, modular lighting system. The Occhio idea is based on the following consideration: how can different light sources be placed in a room in order to create different lighting effects? The solution lies in the unique head-body system whereby a wide range of lamp bodies in different lengths and mounting options are combined with diverse, interchangeable reflector heads. With a range that includes table lighting and floor lamps, ceiling and wall products, and suspended and spotlight systems, Occhio has a product to suit a wide range of uses and applications.

Designed by Axel Meise, Occhio is the result of his 25-year preoccupation with lighting. At the same time it marks the mere beginning of a continuous innovation process: “light is evolution”.

The Occhio product lines, Puro, Sento and Piu, captivate thanks to their reduced form and perfect functionality. The design is based on clear, basic geometric forms where all elements are compatible. High quality materials such as matt and polished chrome metal, anodized aluminium and satinized glass determine the sophisticated material aesthetics of all Occhio components.

Originally the modular Occhio head-body system was based on xenon halogen technology. However, OcchioPiùnow uses LED light sources. “You can even use two different LEDs. Exchanging them is as easy as changing a SIM card in a mobile phone. An exchange mechanism makes it possible to insert the latest LED version at any time in order to be able to keep up with the latest LED technology. This sustainable approach is unique on the market” says designer, Axel Meise.
