KODA Lighting are absolutely delighted to announce that the Nimbus LED.next Line Series and Nimbus LED.next Modul Q series have each won a Gold Australian International Design Award at Australia’s most prestigious design assessment program, the 2010 Australian International Design Awards.

That’s right, Koda Lighting has taken home, not one but two, Design Awards at the 2010 Australian International Design Awards. The awards went to the Nimbus LED.Next Line Series and Nimbus LED. Next Modul Series for Excellence in Innovation and Design.

 

The Australian International Design Awards is Australia’s premier design assessment program, recognising Australian and international design and innovation excellence. Line Series and Modul Q were selected from a record number of entries and were both awarded the Gold Australian International Design Award™. The Design Award is an indicator of superior design and investment in innovation and is presented to a select number of products each year in recognition of design excellence.

 

The Line series are 5mm thin, height adjustable lights in pendant or table lamp formats. No stranger to awards, Line Z, the sleek table lamp version, was recently named a ‘New Classic of the 21st Century’ by Germany’s leading design title:Das Buch Der Klassiker. Modul Q is a ceiling mounted downlight product, which at a slimline 10mm, can be recessed or applied to surfaces. Modul Q provides a predominately (95%) down wide-beaming light, with even floor to ceiling wall illumination.

 

The Line series and Modul Q series are designed by the team at Nimbus Group which has been leading the way in LED technology for over 10 years. Designed by architects, they are the avant guarde both in aesthetics and sustainability. Nimbus LED. Next lights are comparable to the warm light of the traditional incandescent bulb, but use up to 80% less energy than low-voltage halogen lighting. They are 100% recyclable, contain no mercury, are maintenance free, lasting up to 50,000 hours, and produce a high light output while running at safe-to-touch low temperatures. They can be installed in almost any commercial or residential location and are available in recessed, mounted or suspended versions for indoors and out use.
